One Tree Planted
we plant a tree for every guest!
We are SUPER excited to announce that Pura Vida Ecolodge will now be planting a tree for every single guest that stays up at our retreat! Each season we will be choosing a different location to plant trees but for the rest of the ‘Green Season’ at least, we have decided to focus our efforts on Central & South America! You can keep an eye on our collective progress and see how many trees we have planted together on our ONE TREE PLANTED ‘TEAM’ PAGE.
WHY we LOVE ONE TREE PLANTED
Zero impact and sustainable design and living form the backbone of everything up at Pura Vida Ecolodge, in terms of how it was designed, the materials and workforce we used during construction all the way through to the day-to-day running of our little retreat. So as we endeavour to have as little impact as possible we try to promote a green and clean lifestyle, with as little plastic and waste as possible, sourcing sustainable and zero impact suppliers and 100% recycled products whenever possible - dramatically reducing pollution and so planting trees seems like the perfect solution!
Trees create an ecosystem to provide habitat and food for animals!
Trees absorb carbon dioxide and potentially harmful gasses, such as sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, from the air and release oxygen!
one dollar donated = one tree planted
One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization and as an environmental charity, they’re on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees! ONE DOLLAR. ONE TREE, it’s as simple as that! As an environmental charity, they are dedicated to making it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and help reforestation efforts around the world. All by planting trees! One Tree Planted Started in 2014, and has more than doubled the number of trees planted year over year. Fast-forward to today, they now work with awesome reforestations partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help them get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.
